VW updated the Atlas for 2021 with some exterior design changes and more content. Unchanged is the massive and comfortable interior. We took the Atlas on a hunt for this year’s Christmas tree to see if these refinements have improved the breed or kept things status quo.

Volkswagen of America, Inc., is pleased to announce fuel economy figures for the 2021 ID.4 electric SUV. The ID.4 1st Edition and Pro models have an EPA-estimated 250 miles of range on a single charge. The EPA-estimated fuel economy for city driving is 104 MPGe; highway driving is rated at 89 MPGe, and combined city/highway at 97 MPGe.
Volkswagen unveiled the latest generation of the brand’s performance halo, the new Golf R, today. This car boasts 315 horsepower, 27 more than the outgoing U.S. model, as well as 310 pound-feet of torque. With standard 4Motion® all-wheel drive, the Golf R can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.7 seconds, on its way to a top track speed of 155 mph. The car will go on sale in the U.S. as a 2022 model during the latter part of 2021.
The Volkswagen Atlas replaced the Touareg as VW’s largest SUV in the US. The new for 2020 Atlas Cross Sport steps up the design aspect of the Atlas while removing the third row. Starting at a far more competitive price, the Atlas Cross Sport seeks to gain buyers that would previously not have considered the brand.
