Christmas trees in every city center, fairy lights and illuminated stars as far as the eye can see - no region in France is as festively decorated at this time of the year as Alsace. Not only are Christmas markets in Strasbourg and Colmar well known, even Molsheim, the headquarters of Bugatti has its own Christmas market. This year, the disappointment of avoiding any gatherings in the run-up to Christmas due to Covid19 was all the greater. The city of Molsheim had to cancel its Christmas market at the Place de l’Hôtel de Ville.

Reduced, raw, authentic. With the technological concept of the Bugatti Bolide1, the French luxury car manufacturer is now providing the answer to the question what if Bugatti built a radically light vehicle around its iconic 8.0-litre W16 engine? Drifting – with a smile on his face. The engineer works at Bugatti as a chassis setup engineer and is testing the new Chiron Pur Sport1 at the limits of its handling dynamics. The aim is to improve the vehicle even further and to tune the chassis, steering and dampers even more precisely. His starting point is in the area of fine nuances and minute details. These are almost imperceptible individually, but will later convey the complete picture of a perfect driving experience to customers. Extremely sporty and extraordinarily fast in corners. Consistently calibrated for agility, handling and driving performance. The new Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport1 pushes the limits of what is technically feasible in the area of lateral dynamics. Bugatti engineers spent a year and half developing the new hyper sports car. Fine-tuning is now in the final stages, with test runs being carried out on race circuits, country roads and motorways, as well as test tracks such as Bilster Berg. In the second half of 2020, Bugatti will then build the series-production version of the Chiron Pur Sport, which will start at a net base price of three million euros (North America: base MSRP of $3,599,000).
