The Bugatti Type 251 Evo is a one-off, bespoke design based on a Bugatti Chiron, conceived by creative car designer Alessio Minchella and virtually brought to life through the 3D modelling of concept artist Luigi Memola.
Reduced, raw, authentic. With the technological concept of the Bugatti Bolide1, the French luxury car manufacturer is now providing the answer to the question what if Bugatti built a radically light vehicle around its iconic 8.0-litre W16 engine? The experimental study of the Bugatti Bolide is a track-oriented hyper sports car featuring a W16 engine derived from series production as powertrain combined with a minimal body for maximum downforce. It therefore promises to offer the ultimate Bugatti performance kick.
The Chiron Pur Sport inspires its audience wherever it goes. After successful appearances in four German cities, the most agile Chiron has now been presented for the first time in Switzerland. On a spacious area of 120 square meters, customers had the chance to see the newest member of the Chiron2 family in the Zurich showroom.
The rear end breaks out slightly into a controlled drift, the tires start to squeal. Sven Bohnhorst reacts with lightning speed, countersteers briefly and keeps his foot on the accelerator. Drifting – with a smile on his face. The engineer works at Bugatti as a chassis setup engineer and is testing the new Chiron Pur Sport1 at the limits of its handling dynamics. The aim is to improve the vehicle even further and to tune the chassis, steering and dampers even more precisely. His starting point is in the area of fine nuances and minute details. These are almost imperceptible individually, but will later convey the complete picture of a perfect driving experience to customers. After weeks of lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he and his colleagues were finally able to return to testing the new Chiron Pur Sport on a race track at the beginning of May.
Extremely sporty and extraordinarily fast in corners. Consistently calibrated for agility, handling and driving performance. The new Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport1 pushes the limits of what is technically feasible in the area of lateral dynamics. Bugatti engineers spent a year and half developing the new hyper sports car. Fine-tuning is now in the final stages, with test runs being carried out on race circuits, country roads and motorways, as well as test tracks such as Bilster Berg. In the second half of 2020, Bugatti will then build the series-production version of the Chiron Pur Sport, which will start at a net base price of three million euros (North America: base MSRP of $3,599,000).
It feels most at home on winding roads and circuits: The new Chiron Pur Sport1. The extreme hyper sports car will also soon be seen in numerous European cities. The most agile Bugatti is currently touring through the metropolises of its home continent. From Paris via London and Hamburg to Geneva, where the celebration of its world premiere last March was canceled, due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport is an uncompromising hypersports car meant for winding roads. It has a new aerodynamic configuration, which generates more downforce while the lower weight increases agility. Plus, the Chiron Pur Sport focuses on extraordinary, tangible performance throughout the entire range of speeds.
